Draw Water and Other Things
Draw Water and Other Things
The aim of the book is to teach children the basics of drawing by developing the key skills that underlie art.
From hamburgers to space shuttles and from crabs to castles, this book demonstrates how to draw just about anything a child would like.
Most importantly, the book will inspire children and enhance their confidence by giving them a real sense of achievement.
Children are encouraged to pick up a pencil and take themselves on a journey that appears quite simple, yet through a gradual accumulation of skills, they will see how quite impressive art work can be produced in a short amount of time. The book teaches children how the skills they have acquired are transferable and can be used in different contexts.
Given the freedom to move around the book as they choose, children are able to consolidate their new-found techniques and develop their imagination through drawing.
The book also introduces children to the language of art using vocabulary such as “ellipse,”” vanishing point”, “perspective”, illustrating this in a straightforward manner.
This book is an invaluable tool for helping children to establish the basic foundations of art and allows them the opportunity to draw well independently.
It is also a boon for parents or carers who cannot draw. When their toddler demands “Draw me a giraffe” adults who have no drawing skills can present a giraffe in a moment!
Easy, fun, sketch, draw, pencil, absorbing, innovative, circles, faces, people, flowers, trees, space, birds, insects, animals, castles, sea creatures, education.

The easy-draw book ‘Draw Water and Other Things’, is a simple way to give confidence in drawing to both children and adults alike. Now in its second edition, it is joined by its companion, ‘Draw Queens, Kings and All Things Royal’. This was published in 2015, is on sale at Buckingham Palace and available on The Royal Collection website www.royalcollectionshop.com
