Nina Goes Barking Mad!
Nina Goes Barking Mad! by Anita Pouroulis, Illustrated by Agata Krawczyk
It’s a mystery. A great, big, noisy mystery that’s driving everyone mad.
Just why won’t Nina stop barking?
‘Nina Goes Barking Mad!’ is part of the Jules, Nina and George series.
Anita is a writer of children’s books. Before she started writing for children, she was a schoolteacher and also worked on magazines as a copy editor and writer. Anita loves words, especially how they can create pictures in your mind. Her favourite thing is reading a good book with a hot cup of tea, on a rainy day. And sometimes on not-so-rainy days too.
Nina Goes Barking Mad is part of a series of books about Jules and her two dogs. Jules adores her dogs, but her parents are not so keen. When Nina starts barking and just won’t stop Jules is determined to find out what the problem is. As Jules tries to think like a dog to solve the barking problem, the reader is also encouraged to empathise. The series is an excellent present for any family with young children who might be considering getting a dog. It deals with many of the practical issues of dog ownership without overshadowing the joy.
